Fisheries, Fukushima and INSITE. When science meets the headlines the results can be explosive.

Join Jay Ingram, renowned science broadcaster and co-host of Daily Planet, for the Vancouver launch of the Science Media Centre of Canada (SMCC) with an entertaining and engaging look behind the scenes at what shapes the news and influences public policy. Modeled on similar centres in the UK and Australia, SMCC was independently founded in 2009 and is seed-founded by more than 120 public, private and corporate sector charter members. The SMCC’s aim is to help time-crunched journalists by offering informed, accurate and incisive content.
