Creating Connections is a conference to support and enable a meaningful dialogue about the role of women in science, engineering, and technology, and to build capacity for individuals and organizations to engage in transformational and long-lasting change. The conference is for everyone who wants to be part of the discussion, inclusive of all genders, backgrounds, and professions.

Friday Public Keynote: “The Role of Gender in Science Communication” A panel moderated by Dr. Jennifer Gardy (Genome Research Laboratory, BC Centre for Disease Control; Adjunct Professor, Microbiology & Immunology, UBC)
Saturday Opening Keynote: Dr. Roberta Bondar (Neurologist, scientist, educator, author, photographer, and Canada’s first female astronaut)
Saturday Lunch Keynote: Anna Tudela (Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Secretary, Goldcorp Inc)
Saturday Closing Keynote: Amiee Chan (CEO, President, and Director of Norsat International Inc.)

Highlights of the conference include networking receptions, personal and professional development sessions, a total of four keynotes, and opportunities for structured discussions and dialogue.
