Mar 4 : ASME BC and ASME UBC Present Technical Panel Presentation

The BC Section of ASME has arranged an evening technical presentation in conjunction with the student chapter of ASME at UBC. Guest speakers will be sharing valuable professional experiences with the audience and will be answering particular questions at the end of the panel.

Mark Mulligan, P.Eng.

Mark is President and founding partner of Capilano Maritime Design Ltd. and is a Naval Architect by profession. Mark holds an honours degree in Naval Architecture from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland as well as a Shipbuilding apprenticeship from Australia. His life has been spent both working on board and designing vessels for mainly the offshore oil and the tug and barge industries, representing a good blend of practical and theoretical experience.

Patrick Pacholczyk, M.Eng.

Patrick is a mechanical engineer specialized in equipment for the mining industry with Fluor Canada Ltd. He has experience specifying and evaluating equipment and has spent the last 14 months working in Mongolia overseeing equipment installation at a copper concentrator.

Karen Savage, P.Eng., FEC

Karen Savage is founder and president of Horizon Engineering Inc., a company located in North Vancouver providing geotechnical engineering consulting services. Ms. Savage graduated from the University of British Columbia and has been working in the field for over 25 years. Currently an APEGBC Council member, she also served on the Board of Directors of the Consulting Engineers of BC (now Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – BC) from 2006 to 2011.
