The National Post and the Women’s Executive Network have chosen Amiee Chan as one of the top 100 most powerful women in Canada.

Amiee Chan, a keynote speaker at WWEST’s Creating Connections conference last May, is the CEO and president of Norsat International Inc.  She is an engineer and mentor to women interested in science and technology careers.

Since taking on the top position at Norsat International, Amiee Chan has more than tripled the company’s revenue and substantially expanded its product portfolio.  She recently launched two business divisions: an M2M Solutions line for remote well monitoring, and a Power Solutions line designed for power conversion and energy shortage.

Amiee has an executive MBA from Simon Fraser University and a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia — both schools are in Vancouver.
