Congrats to WWEST’s own Vivian Meng-Wang for receiving an honourable mention for the Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship!

The citation for the award is as follows:

To Vivian Meng-Wang for academic achievement in the University of British Columbia statistics program, outstanding advancement of both development and application of statistical methods related to population size estimation using multiple data sources, advancing the statistics field by organizing for the PIMS Young Researchers Conference, and campus contributions to gender diversity via active research collaboration with her university’s NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering.
