Article: Push is on to get girls interested in the tech sector

An article in the Vancouver Sun features Be Like Ada, an initiative that aims to encourage girls to explore science and technology. One of its programs is a coding boot camp for teenage girls taking place this summer.  WWEST’s own Elizabeth Croft is also featured in the article.

Ada Lovelace, the woman known as the world’s first computer programmer, was born in 1815. She was an exception in her time and, almost 200 years later, while women in technology aren’t exactly the exception, neither are they the rule.
