Jennifer Pelletier
Jennifer Pelletier is the Manager for the NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering (BC / Yukon). Jennifer also holds the position of Manager of Undergraduate Affairs and Special Projects in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. She has been recognized with a UBC Applied Science 2012 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Service and a UBC 2010 President’s Staff Award in the category of Enhancing the UBC Experience. She was also named the Honourary President of the Engineering Undergraduate Society for the 2009-2010 school year. Her educational background is in Adult Education and project management.
Jennifer was a member of the Board of Advisors for GEERing Up! UBC Engineering & Science for Kids from 2006-2012. GEERing Up! is a non-profit organization dedicated to engineering and science education and outreach for the children and youth of British Columbia, particularly those in areas traditionally under-represented in engineering and science.
Justin Yang
Justin Yang is the Program Assistant for the NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering (BC / Yukon), as well as for Undergraduate Affairs and Special Projects in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. He is currently the Vice Chair of the UBC Senate, and Chair of the Student Caucus.
Noor Teja
Noor Teja is the Program Assistant for the National Chairs for Women in Science and Engineering Network, as well as Program Assistant for the MECH 2 Program at the University of British Columbia. Noor has been involved with various Women in Engineering (and Mining) groups in the Lower Mainland since her undergraduate years at UBC and attended the NCWIE Conference at Kingston in 2008.
Noor is also an avid traveler and backpacked across 28 countries in Europe in just over a year.
Vivian Meng
Vivian Meng is a Work Study student for the WWEST program, focusing on research projects. She is a Masters student in Statistics at UBC.
Anoushka Rajan
Anoushka Rajan is a Work Study student for the WWEST program, focusing on the Creating Connections conference. She is studying for her B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Biomedical Option).
