Feb 20 – Poster Competition: IEEE Canada WIE National Conference 2011

IEEE Canada WIE National Conference 2011 (WIENNC ’11)
Symposium on Future Friendly Technologies (SFFT)

You are invited to submit a poster to the IEEE Canada WIE National Conference (WIENC ’11) titled Symposium on Future Friendly Technologies (SFFT) being held in Toronto, Canada on April 30, 2011at Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre, Mississauga, Ontario. Both male and female delegates are encouraged to participate.

This symposium will be a high quality one day event. It will attract a prospective audience of more than 100 delegates, from a diverse range of engineeering, science and technology professions, academia, industry and students as well as entrepreneurs. We invite submissions for poster presentations from academics and industry professionals in the following areas:

(A) Bioengineering. This can include (but not limited to):
i. Biomedical engineering
ii. Bionanotechnology
iii. People‐centered biomedical systems
iv. Renewable bioenergy

(B) Robotics and automation. This can include (but not limited to):
i. Environmental surveying
ii. Climate control for energy efficiency
iii. Disaster prevention
iv. Emergency response annd recovery

(C) Power annd Energy. This can include (but not limited to):
i. Environmental auditing
ii. Sustainable energy
iii. Alternative power sources

Submission Guidelines
Prospective authors are invited to submit a one page abstract (including the references) to wiestf2011@ieee.org. In your email specify the area that you are submitting to (one of A, B, or C). Abstracts will be peer reviewed and published in electronic format in the symposium proceedings. The Best Poster Award will be presented to the individual(s) judged by an awards committee to have presented the best poster in the conference.
