Sep 24 – Creating Connections 2.0: Conference for Women in Engineering

Refresh. Re-energize. Re-engineer your world.

This September, Creating Connections 2.0: A New Perspective will bring together 150 female engineering students, new immigrants, women in transition, and industry professionals to make connections that provide support, networking, mentoring, and partnerships, and to expand their opportunities to make positive contributions to the engineering community and to society. Our goal is to increase participants’ belief in their ability to succeed in their careers – their career self-efficacy – and thereby increase retention rates in the profession.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear speakers and attend workshops on the importance and value of academic and career networks, building mentoring relationships, advancing leadership skills, and shaping and supporting their communities. In addition, women employed in industry will be able to count this event towards professional development hours.

Don’t miss this energizing day of personal and professional development, insightful keynote speakers, and the opportunity to create connections with other women in engineering!
