May 19 – Anita Borg Top Company for Technical Women Workshop

At the inaugural Anita Borg Top Company for Technical Women Workshop, participants from leading companies will engage in discussions to share their perspectives and insights on issues and proven solutions for the recruitment, retention, and advancement of technical women at all levels. The workshop will feature best practices tied to demonstrated outcomes in increasing the representation of technical women, and in their retention and advancement.

Speakers from leading companies including IBM, Cisco, Symantec, Intel, Intuit, CA Technologies, Microsoft Research and SAP will share their strategies for:

  • Hiring top female technical talent despite the short supply
  • Retaining technical women through best practices such as mentoring and innovative work-life programs
  • Retaining and advancing women to Fellow positions
  • Increasing the representation of technical women in senior and executive roles
  • Managing change and breaking barriers toward creating an inclusive culture for women in technology

Executives from leading technology companies and attendees will share knowledge and discuss the concrete solutions that make the most difference in their companies and ultimately impact their bottom line. Attendees will learn from the inaugural Anita Borg Top Company for Technical Women Award winner, IBM, on how it became a leader in the representation of technical women.
