March 8: SCWIST XX Evening at Science World

The Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology and Science World are once again collaborating to create a lively evening of networking!

XX Evening 2012 –” How to Survive and Thrive in Your Chosen Science and Technology Career”

The Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) and Science World are proud to present the 18th annual XX Evening. Network with amazing “Wonder Women” to find out more about careers in science, engineering and technology.

Date – Thursday, March 8, 2012
Time – 5:15 – 9:30 p.m.

Location – TELUS World of Science (1455 Quebec Street (at Terminal), Vancouver)

Ticket – $10 SCWIST members/ $15 non-SCWIST members

Tickets include networking event, light dinner, an Omni Max film, and door prizes!

Register at http://www.scwistevents.ca/ as space is limited!

SCWIST will invite women studying science, technology, and engineering, and women who are considering career changes,  to come to TELUS World of Science to meet women with careers in science and technology (That could include you!). There’s a panel discussion, and a chance to network informally, pizza and pop for supper, and a fabulous Omnimax movie .

This is an easy, fun, and rewarding way to share some insights into your work with young women. All you have to do is tell the assembled crowd (in one sentence) what you do for a living, and then be available to chat one-on-one with the students.
