Article: “Students Pick Wrong Majors. Students Pursue Degrees that don’t Help Get Jobs”

A study published by Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce shows a huge wage gab between STEM workers and non-STEM workers.

The study shows:

  • Over 71% of the STEM workers with some college but no degree make more than the average for workers with some college but no degree.
  • Over 56% of STEM workers with a Bachelor’s degree make more than the average for workers with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Over 52% of STEM workers with a Master’s degree make more than the average for workers with a Master’s degree.

Overall, people with an undergraduate STEM major make $500,000 more in their lifetime than non-STEM majors. Click here to read the rest of the report.
