Enhancement of Worker Training
The Obama administration is proposing a $8 billion, three-year plan for career programs at community colleges to be administered by the Education and Labor departments. The funds will be designated to “establish training courses for skilled careers, develop partnerships between the schools and employers, and help state and local governments attract businesses,” according to the Education Department.
The Community College to Career Fund will help expand training and certification programs in community colleges and support internship opportunities for low-income students. Click to read the rest of the article here.
