OCT 16: Negotiation Skills Workshop for Women in STEM

The NSERC / Pratt & Whitney Canada Chair for Women in Science and Engineering is hosting a free negotiation and communication skills workshop.

The free day-long workshop focuses on the basics of negotiation in a professional context. Emphasis will be placed on practicing new skills and applying concepts to real case studies from the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.  By the end of the day, participants will have increased their ability to negotiate confidently and effectively in the workplace.

Who:  Early- to mid-career women in science, tech, engineering or math
What: Free 1-day negotiation skills workshop. Lunch and snacks will be served.
Where: University of Ottawa, Faculty of Social Sciences building (FSS), Room 1005
When: October 16th, 2013, 9am – 4pm

OTHER EVENTS: The same workshop  will be held in December 2013 at the University of Toronto.
