Mar 26: Immunizing against physical inactivity – How do we entice seniors to be active?

Despite the massive health benefits ascribed to physical activity, the vast majority of older Canadians do not meet national physical activity recommendations.

This Café Scientifique will explore ways to entice older adults to start and continue daily physical activity.

When: March 26, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Where:  CBC Vancouver, 700 Hamilton St. (@ Georgia), Vancouver
Cost:  This event is free, but please reserve your seat:  café_scientifique@sfu.ca

Dr. Dawn Mackey, an Assistant Professor in SFU’s department of Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology, will lead the presentation.  Stephen Quinn, host of CBC’s On the Coast, will be the moderator.

Everyone is welcome at this free event!  Enjoy light snacks and refreshments while engaging with cutting-edge, award-winning researchers from Simon Fraser University’s (SFU) Faculty of Science.
