Jan 20: SCWIST “The Chemistry of Beer”

The Society of Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) presents
“The Chemistry of Beer: Why it looks and tastes the way it does – for the layperson and scientist.”

This talk is for men and women, laypersons and scientists, brew masters and beer lovers.
Food and drink will be served, and there will be a beer tasting afterwards.

The speaker is Ken Beattie, a twenty-five year veteran of the beer industry.  His company, Eureka Beer Guide, teaches The Prud’homme Beer Certification program, Canada’s leading beer training program.

Date:  Monday, January 20, 2014
Doors open at 6:30 pm for mingling, networking, and snacks
Presentation:  7:00 – 8:00 pm
Questions and beer tasting:  8:00 – 8:30 pm
Place: #304 – 163 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC

Cost:  Members: $20 / Non-Members $30

Tickets are available online and must be purchased in advance.
