Memorial to the Montreal Massacre

This is a day-long, free public conference organized by Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter.

The event features local and international experts presenting round-table policy discussions, lectures, and films on issues of concern to women’s equality including a presentation, entitled “Taking Space: Women in Male Dominated Workplaces” featuring Tyseer Aboulnasr, the Dean of UBC Faculty of Applied Science in
a 1 hour session that will be both entertaining and engaging for anyone interested in equality in the workplace, women’s role in technical jobs, or the effects of the Montreal massacre on women in science and technology.
