WWEST has nominated Catherine Roome P.Eng, CEO BC Safety Authority for the YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards for her tremendous work in Non-Profit and Public Service . The Awards began in 1984 to honour, encourage and recognize women whose outstanding contributions make a difference to the community.

Catherine will also have an opportunity to allocate $10,000 to safe and affordable housing – all you need to do is vote online for her! You can vote once every 24 hours from each computer until Tuesday, May 22 at noon. The nominee with the most votes will receive the Connecting the Community Award and Scotiabank will donate $10,000 to the program area of her choice.
