The National Conference on Women in Engineering 2013 is being hosted by the University of British Columbia at the Sheraton Wall Centre from November 22 – 24 2013. The theme for this year’s event is, “Add Your Piece to the Puzzle”. A puzzle only reveals its image once all of its pieces are put into place. Although each piece may be a different shape or size, every piece is essential in completing the image.
Students who go to this conference will care about diversity and women in engineering. NCWiE this year is focusing on teaching its delegates skills to start to make change and they want their delegates to be interested and capable to do so.
If you’d like to apply please fill out the application form. The cost for this weekend will be $75 and it may decreased depending on additional funding. It includes travel, hotels and food for the weekend.
Please note, this conference is open to both genders.
