Dec 10: How to market your skills to a job in a new field in a new country?

New to Canada? Are you an immigrant professional or graduate student seeking a job in a new field or the Life Sciences industry?
This Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) and Immigrant Women in Science (IWIS) networking event could be just what you are looking for.

Being new to a country may require expanding your horizons and exploring careers in new areas. The question is, how do you sell your skills and find a job that fits your knowledge and experience?

The speaker will be Dr. Harish Vasudevan, Career Consultant at UBC, and Vice President, Research and Commercialization at Tait Laboratories Inc.

Date:  December 10th, 2013
Time:  5:30 – 7:30 pm
Place: The Wicklow Pub, 610 Stamps Landing, Vancouver
