Two UBC faculty members resigned from the Canadian Science and Engineering Hall of Fame’s selection committee after the second year running with no women nominees. Almost 100 faculty members at UBC and other universities across Canada signed a petition urging the museum to address the gender disparity in nominations.
“If you do the same things you’ve always done, you get the same results,” [Elizabeth Croft] said. “You do need to be proactive to make a change.”
