Nov 21: SFU Science Open House

In celebration of SFU’s 50th anniversary, SFU’s Faculty of Science is showcasing some of their research on Saturday, November 21! Check out their promo video here.

Self-guided tours cover 30 different exhibits and labs, including the new Trottier Observatory & Science courtyard and the hyper/hypobaric chamber that simulates extreme conditions for divers and pilots. Take the self-guided tour and experience how space flight affects your blood pressure and how G forces affect your posture, find out how much bacteria lives on your kitchen chopping board, touch sea stars in their tanks, learn how SFU contributes to the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider in CERN, discover how SFU’s genomics research is contributing to the race to cure cancer and meet our talented grad students and scientists.
